I worked on some new literature last night and I must say, it is such a pleasure to play the W&G! It was extremely beneficial (besides the great pleasure and joy) to hear [the dedication recital] because it was a tremendous learning experience to hear the organ in the worship space, instead of from the bench. The colors are vibrant, warm, and the pedals really “wrap around” the sound with a much greater foundation. I have more confidence in the settings I’m using, knowing they sound even better to the listener. I came home inspired with what I accomplished and enthusiastic about playing serious literature, something I’ve not experienced for a couple of years! |
